After posting the Justin Bieber Twitter Trend topic, I checked my nifty Twitter Trend dashboard widget for OSX and saw #TWQ steadily climbing up the ladder. So I packed my things and head out there to find out what it’s all about.
This is what I found out:

- What’s the word: thousands of people randomly quoting random TWQ quotes..
TwiQuotations is a pretty smart initiative by a girl named Judy (18) from Indonesia. Apart from some kind of freaky blog she runs her #TWQ Twitter account with great success by simply posting random wisdom quotes. There’s not much to say about it other than that it’s interesting to see how simple ideas can lead to great things.
So just for the fun of it (and in the name of science) I’ll keep an eye on the TwiQuotations Twitter account to see how being a Twitter Trend affects your Follower count. Currently it’s 8,651 at 4:00pm.
To give you an idea about what Judy posts on Twitter, here’s a handful of example-quotes:

By the way: 10 minutes later, at 4:10pm, TwiQuotation’s Follower count is up to 8,687. According to my calculator that means she will gain about 216 Followers each hour. I will check in tomorrow at 4pm to see if she gained about 5,100 Followers…
